It all starts with a nudge. Maybe your baby’s little personality (or first tooth) is really starting to come through. Or you’re about to move away from your child’s first home. Don’t miss this – call me!
We’ll meet somewhere convenient, and I’ll uncover everything there is to know. What are your children like? What’s their relationship with each other? What are their favourite things? What do you have in mind for these photographs? You receive all the particulars, including a full price list. Our meeting concludes with a rush of excitement and these magic words: “Yes, let’s book it.” Payment of £500 locks me in for your photographic and ordering sessions.
Your children are the main characters here. The session is tailored to fit their little personalities. No stopwatches; the shoot lasts as long as they do. In their element, your kids are having too much fun running through leaves, balancing on logs, and riding scooters to realize that I’m capturing their most elusive expressions. I walk you through a carefully curated selection of black-and-white images, each selected for its spine-tingling properties and guaranteed to resonate. Children are the most difficult subjects to photograph, and also the best, I think. I visit your child's favorite places to find the secret hiding places for their most distinctive expressions; the ones that are so them. My work is exclusively black and white because removing colour places all your attention on the only things that matter - personalities and relationships.
With experience working in such diverse environments as bacon factories, coffee shops, petrol stations, and investment banks, I can make just about anybody feel at ease.
My style is thoughtful, reflective and patient. Like an owl, I swoop in to capture moments no one else saw coming.
In the time I steal between my sons' naps, I like to put things in their proper order - dishwashers, iTune playlists, and photographs alike. With unlimited time I would become the world's best guitar-playing, Crossfit practicing, meditation Zen master of Jeet Kune Do and streetdancer who ever lived. For now, I'll focus on getting the kids to school with all limbs intact.
It's the most fantastic thing to be able to engage kids. They're so honest and natural and unfiltered. My work brings out their true, authentic personalities, with love. It affects my clients emotionally. And it affects me, too. I love what I do.
