My name is David Bier, and I am a professional children’s portrait photographer based in London.

When it comes to photography of your child there’s one thing more important than any other. More important than backdrops, poses or any sort of technical wizardry.

The most important part is that each photograph captures

a perfect moment and tells a wonderful story.

As parents, we build up fantastic memories of our children as they grow, but the best photographs allow you to really revisit a time in their young lives – see the expressions, feel the emotions and experience the moment all over again. No matter how far into the future – months, years or decades – you can step back in time and enjoy vivid and natural memories of your child.

Moments in your child’s life can only ever be captured once. They grow up so quickly that it’s easy to miss opportunities. That’s why I believe it’s important to cultivate incredible photographs which are as authentic as possible and keep those unique moments fresh forever.

I like to capture the natural moments of your child –no matter how old they are. The smiles, the laughs, the emerging personalities, the curiosity of the world around them and the pure innocence which we all know and love.

To me, this is what makes the most memorable and cherished photographs, and many parents I work with feel the same way.
