Stars in stripes

Last weekend I did a shoot for Nathan and Sydney, who I haven’t seen since Sydney was still a baby. One of the best things about being a children’s photographer is that you get to see how the kids have evolved -and these two brothers have really blossomed. Sydney has left his baby years well and truly behind him and is now a cheeky, lovable little monkey. Nathan’s well on the path to being a young man and is totally fearless – and they’re both going to be getting a little sister in a few months…let’s see how they adjust to that!

My rebranding process with Luxecetera is coming to its conclusion, after nearly 4 months (and nearly 5 months on the waiting list before that).

I am beyond excited to reveal the results to everyone. The design team and I really think we’ve come up with something rather special. The first thing you’ll see is that my site will now shut down while the new look is bolted onto it…be right back!

Who, me?

I recently did an interview with Beate Chelette, a business coach for pro photographers (and a seriously successful businesswoman). She published a very cool piece about me, much to my surprise…what a massive confidence boost to find this in my inbox! You can see it here:

In the dark

Most mornings I get up when Isaac starts shouting (something heartwarming like “get me out Daddy!”) and give him his milk. The moments in his room, still dim with the blinds down, his head resting on my cheek, my hand stroking his tummy or his little foot, are the best of the day. After he guzzles down the last drops, he looks up at me, says something random like “mummy’s bottom?”, gives me a kiss and the day begins.

Hello world

Last weekend I did a session with Izabella (nearly 2) who loves being a big sister to Chloe (3 weeks) – much to the relief of Mummy and Daddy. When I did Louise’s maternity shoot, I mentioned how relaxed she was…and I’m glad to say she’s still very calm, and the whole family seem to be adjusting to Chloe’s arrival without much stress. And just look how much Izabella loves her little sister!
