I wrote in a previous post about the merits of joining Toastmasters. No-one can ever say I don’t practice what I preach..last night I delivered my tenth speech and am now officially a Competent Communicator!
It took me 2 years and a lot of clammy-handed, heart-racing, gut-wrenching nervous moments…but I can now deliver a speech without notes, and enjoy doing it. It’s always nice to chalk up an achievement. Fingers crossed for the rest of my to-do list!
