q: What’s your photographic style?
a: Where photographs of your children are concerned, the most important thing is for the individual personalities to really shine through, so I’ve carefully built my shooting style to help me achieve this. I work informally, with as little direction as I can get away with, but there’s usually a little posing required to get the best out of each session.
q: Where do you work?
a: I work on locations such as your home, parks or playgrounds. They show real life in a way no white background could…and all those big lights can be distracting, or scary, to some children.
q: How long will our session take?
a: Basically, as long as it needs to! However, beyond about 90 minutes I’ve found that most kids will be getting bored, hungry, grumpy…or all three.
q: What about clothes?
a: I’d suggest casual, classic outfits that steer clear of obtrusive brand names, logos, or patterns. but it’s not a rule. Wear whatever makes you and your child feel most comfortable.
q: When can we see our images?
a: The viewing session will be a couple of weeks after the shoot. During that time I’ll have completed all the post processing and will have some ideas as to how you can showcase your pictures to maximum effect. If you’ve never done this before, you are definitely in for a treat. You’ll see some beautiful images of your kids – this may be an emotional experience, even for dads!
q: What products do you offer?
a: It’s important to me that you enjoy your images every day, so I specialise in wall prints that you’ll want to display prominently. I also offer albums when you love more images than you have wall space
. The products I offer reflect my commitment to quality and represent the very best available.
q: How much do you charge for the shoot?
a: My booking fee is £150. This covers the shoot, image processing, and a viewing session, when you can order any images you wish.
q: How can we share our images with friends and family?
a: I can provide a unique animated montage from your session, that you can email, post to Facebook, carry on your phone…whatever you’d like to do with it. Think of it as your own music video.
q: How do we book you?
a: Just click the ‘contact’ menu item to drop me a line, and we’ll get the ball rolling.
