Oooh, tough question! There's no question I miss a lot from my pre-fatherhood life, mainly around freedom and flexibility. On the other hand the whole reason this website, this blog post and this comment are here at all is because having Isaac has opened up certain possibilities for me. Plus, the second time round you'd expect to know a lot of the 'stuff' that can make the first time such a jarring experience. So overall, yes I would. But I'd be a bit nervous in case Isaac tried to put the baby in the washing machine or something.

Dave, I have a question. Now you have the experience of the ups and downs of raising a child - would you have another one?

Dave agree with you 100%, a year or so ago we watched shows like Law and Order Special Victims Unit with ease, now anything which shows a kid being harmed in anyway is so much more difficult to sit through. Oh and if you want a song guaranteed to bring on the tears try listening to "Sweet Child" by Carole King, mind you even "Kooks" by David Bowie is guaranteed to get me going.

Look forward to reading more and recognising exactly how you're feeling
